Maras and Moray by ATV for half a day
This is a short and beautiful tour to one of the best destinations near Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Maras and Moray are two amazing destinations full of history and culture, and this tour combines the best of it while enjoying an ATV experience.

ITINERARIO
PRE - Departure briefing - Cusco
A day before our Maras Moray ATV Tour, we will have a briefing meeting headed by our tour guide. This talk is given to all travelers for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. It is important to attend the briefing because, at this moment, you will learn about each moment of the trip in detail. Moreover, remember that if you have any doubts before the trip this is the perfect moment to ask. At the end, you will receive the final advice before the departure, such as what to wear during the trip, how the climate in the sites you will visit, and more!
DAY 01 - Tourist transport to Chinchero (Starting point) - Cuzco - Chinchero - Maras - Moray - Cusco
We will start our adventure by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco and board the car to the Raqchi village. It will take about 40 minutes to arrive. Our guide will give us a short ATV driving instruction and we will practice on the for 15 to 20 minutes.
Once we are ready for the journey, we will ride on the ATVs and start the tour to the salt mines. At this point, we will visit the Maras salt mines. On the site, our guide will explain the salt extraction process, and we will have the chance to take pictures and buy a delicious local chocolate bar with Maras salt on top.
After that exciting morning, we will continue our journey on the ATVs. This time, we will reach the Moray Ruins. We will first enjoy the amazing view of the green terraces. Our guide will give us an explanation about the archaeological site, and how the residents used it for agricultural experiments purposes when the crops were affected by climatic variations. We will have a brief time to explore and finally, we will return with the motorbikes to Raqchi and board our transport to Cusco at 12:30 pm.

On the other hand, the rainy season goes from November to March. We recommend dressing in layering clothes and taking rain gear, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a hat

The archaeological Moray site is located one at one and a half hours from Cusco City, and Maras is located within one more hour. This half-day tour will take you to both sites in just 6 hours, and you will have time to explore and hear our guide’s explanation about both beautiful sites.
Is this Maras Moray Tour safe for altitude sickness?
Maras is at 3 375 m, and Moray is at 3500 m. Both are considered high-altitude sites if you are not accustomed. We strongly recommend acclimating to Cusco City the day of your arrival, before going on tours. Nevertheless, both are safe with our team’s precautions.
