It is strongly recommended to book your Inca Trail at least 4 months in advance as permits can quickly sell out.

DAY 1: CUSCO – WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU
We will pick you up from your hotel very early in one of our private vehicles and drop you at the train station, where we will begin our journey on the train, the guide will begin to point out different mountains and landscapes and introduces you to the valley. After four hours, we will get off the train at the trailhead at the marker “104 km.” After a short rest, we will begin our hike. The first archaeological center we will visit That is Chachabama at 7,380 feet (2,250 meters). Then, we will Gradually ascend for approximately three hours, towards the fascinating archaeological site Winaywayna at 8,690 feet (2,650 m). Here, we will learn about the site, enjoy its charm and have lunch. After resting, we will continue through the semi-tropical forest towards the Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), the place where we will enjoy the first panoramic view of the citadel of Machu Picchu. You will have time to enjoy the impressive mountains and deep valleys That surround the sun gate. You can Also see the Urubamba river from the sun gate. From Inti Punku (sun gate), we will descend for 30 minutes towards Machupicchu and upon arrival to the city, we will rest and take pictures. Later on, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night. If you would like, you can soak in the medicinal Also hot springs in the town.


DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
On the second day, we will wake up very early to take the first bus to the city of Machu Picchu, where we will be the first visitors of the day to enjoy the magic and mystery of one of the wonders of the world. The tour with your guide will take around 2-3 hours.
Then, you will have free time to explore The entire city by your own. In the afternoon, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco.
Notes:
-(1) Visit to Huayna Picchu: For Huayna Picchu mountain requires to be bokked long time in advance however we charge additional $ 57.00 and then we’ll guarantee your entrance for Huayna Picchu as well (This new State law began since the 18th of July, 2011).
-(2) Tips for porters, cooks and guides are always welcome. The porters are also very grateful for a small donation, for example clothes or school equipment for their children.

OPTIONAL SERVICE

Hotels
The basic package includes a pretty clean hotel, with private bathroom and hot water. However if you would like to upgrade the hotel you have many hotels from the cheapest to the highest prices, so in the case of using a different hotel you have a discount of $ 15 usd per person.
Trains
The package includes the EXPEDITION train service, but if you want, you can do an upgrade and the difference increment. Also you can stay an extra night at Aguas Calientes without any additional charge, but for this option you need to inform us in advanced to coordinate if not then you’ll have a penalty for changing the date.Calientes to board the train back to Cusco.
Climbing Huayna
You need to book in advance This Hike Because too have limited capacity, just 400 people per day. Which is divided in to 2 shifts. The first shift is at 7am, and the second one at 10am, Allows 200 people each shift. The climb is 45 minutes to one hour away from Machupicchu, it is a bit narrow but safety, the view of Machu Picchu is breathtaking, the sun gate, Urubamba valley and river.
The Price is $ 70 us dollars.

OUR BOOKING POLICIES
Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable Deposits for TREKS and Short Tours
There is a $200 per person deposit needed to your trek/tour with Haku Travel. The deposit can be made through PayPal, which will incur a 5.5% PayPal merchant fee paid by the traveler or by a wire directly to our bank (Bank of America or Citibank) for free if you are a fellow account holder. All deposits are fully non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event that you need to cancel your trip, cancellation fees will be assessed as outlined below under Cancellation Policy. It is not possible to transfer your deposit to another person’s trek if cancelling, they will need to send in their own deposit.
Itineraries
If you are booking a full itinerary, including hotels, with Haku Travel, we will require 50% of the total value as a deposit. If you must CANCEL, refunds other than the non-refundable $200 deposit required for all tours, will be returned if your start date is more than 60 days away. Once you are within 60 days of your tour beginning, money will no longer be refundable.
Final Payment Terms
For all treks and small tours, final payment is due at least three days before your tour begins with Hatu Travel. This is normally paid directly in our office, but can be paid in advance by PayPal with a 5.5% fee or wire to Citibank. In the office we accept both US and Peruvian currency, any denomination but NO torn bills.
Cancellation Policy for Treks and Small Tours
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to info@hakutravel.com. If you are within 8 weeks of your tour start date, further payment is needed as follows:
  • If you cancel 8 weeks or more days before departure: Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit.
  • 8 weeks to 4 weeks before departure: 60% of the total tour price is due.
  • 4 weeks to 5 days before departure: 80% of the total tour price is due.
  • 5 days to 36 hours: 90% of the total tour price is due.
  • 36 hours or less before departure: 100% of the total price is due.
We charge these fees because there are many expenses that Hahu Travel pays to set up these tours. There are no exceptions unfortunately, but if you need a letter for your insurance company to help recover some of the cost, we would be happy to supply one.
Inca Trail Permits
Inca Trail permits are 100% non-refundable, non-transferable. Permits are issued in the name and with the passport number of the trekker and cannot be transferred to anyone else under any circumstances.
